2003 Vintage
This is a typical cool climate Shiraz that has intense ruby colour.
The nose exhibits spice, black cherry and toasty oak backed up on
the palate with pepper, harmonious acid and soft fine tannins to
finish.
Some people like heavy bodied Shiraz so it is wise to say that this
is typically cool climate Shiraz. It’s lighter in style than
say a McLaren Vale or warmer climate Victorian Shiraz but it does
have very good colour, fruit flavour nose and front palate and pepper
on the back palate.

with lamb, pork, veal, duck or turkey. The Shiraz drinks very well
with any lamb dish -grilled lamb chops, baked lamb with garlic or
rosemary, or richer lamb casseroles. It also accompanies duck well.
It is a very pleasant accompaniment to richer white meats such as
pork or turkey. Pork accompanied by a savoury cherry sauce made
with the Shiraz is very good. The black cherry on the nose and palate
of the wine is further enhanced by the cherry sauce. Veal Parmigiano
matches well with the wine.
It
also drinks well with hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and
Ossau Iraty. Shaved
Parmigiano on a cracker with the wine is a pleasant combination.
Ossau Iraty is a Pyrenees ewes milk cheese. It is a hard cheese
but has a creamy nutty flavour.
2004 Vintage
A rich ruby medium bodied red wine with an exquisite aroma of dark
cherries, berries, chocolate and some spicy pepper. The palate is
dominated by savoury blackberries and well integrated medium tannins
that provide a wonderful lingering finish.
