2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Note
Our cool climate, single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has savoury notes when first opened but if you swirl your glass for a couple of minutes or decant it, it will open up to reveal red currant and cherry with delicious intensity. The sweet red currant and cherry fruit flavours initially tantalise the palate, then other dimensions of this medium bodied red are revealed. Beautifully balanced French oak along with a tart cranberry/briar like edge on the finish. These characters are typical of our Cabernet and contribute to the enjoyment of this stylish wine. Alc. 13.5%

This wine is a delicious accompaniment to lamb chops, spaghetti bolognese, hot or cold rare roast beef and tasty cheeses.

Still young so enjoy with food or cellar up to 5 years.
