Tasting Note
Shiraz has become a flagship wine for Dindima showing consistent and exceptional quality. The 2008 is no exception with complex and perfumed super ripe blood plum, blackberry and a hint of white pepper on the nose. Delicious French oak which has integrated perfectly into the wine during its 36 months barrel maturation is also evident.
The palate is elegant and the depth is superb with all the sweet fruit characters on the nose replicated on the palate, all the while backed up with fine tannins, more white pepper and exceptional length, reminiscent of the 2005 and 2007 Shiraz wines.
Cellar for 10-15 years. Expect a tapenade character to come through on the nose and palate with 10+ years of ageing which is common with our cool climate Shiraz. This adds an extra layer of complexity to the wine. Alc 13%
Matches well with flame grilled rib eye steak and herb encrusted rack of lamb with crispy roast potatoes.
