This
is a unique cool climate fortified Muscat. The wine is light garnet
in colour and has a bouquet that is dominated by intense rose petal
(Turkish delight) with a touch of spice. The sweet palate reflects
the characters on the nose and provides a supple lingering finish.
Made
from the oldest commercial Muscat vines in Orange, 45-50 years old
from vines planted on the original orchard.
This
is not a Rutherglen style Muscat. It is not as sweet or as syrupy.
Can be served slightly chilled as an aperitif or as a more traditional
dessert wine.

Excellent
accompanied by blue cheese and dried Muscatels at the end of a meal.
Also drinks very well with preserved figs, cherries, dark chocolate
or fruit cake.
A great dessert is crepes filled with a cherry and Muscat sauce
and a dollop of clotted cream. Delicious!
We
also have Figs Dindima which are figs preserved in our Muscat. Another
simple and deliciously decadent dessert.
